Pre-trip Prep

| 2 - 3 weeks before departure • Call/email to schedule service. • Fill out a packet of forms to fill out. See the Policies + Forms page for links to these. NOTE: if your information has changed at all from the last visit you'll need to fill out corrected forms. |
| Approximately 2 weeks before departure At a time convenient to you, the nearest Lucky Horse Care associate who will be available to provide your service will meet with you on site. During this initial meeting we will: 1. Learn how you'd like things done. 2. Go over the forms you were sent, answering questions and addressing concerns as needed. 3. Note any special instructions. 4. Discuss/observe any equine behavioral issues we need to be aware of. 5. Determine the specifics of the service you'd like. |
| • 24 hours before departure:-You'll call your Lucky Horse Care associate to confirm the start time/date of your service. |
| • Approximately 12 hours before arrival back home (or as soon as anything changes) call to confirm your estimated close of service. |
| • Upon arrival back home you must CALL YOUR LHC caregiver to TURN OFF SERVICE!. -----> VERY IMPORTANT: If we don't hear from you, service is automatically extended - and will be added to your bill - until we do . This is a policy designed to keep your horses fed, safe and sound and put your mind at ease in the event you run into difficulties getting home when planned. |
